A table of concerns, if not a table of contents.

Most of the following links connect to linkpost pages trying to organize the concerns.

The book

Much of what is below will be used or at least influence the writing the book project.

The main concerns, trying to explain the terminologies I use

  1. Posts on selfing/agency/individuation from psychology to the world.
  2. Posts on the world & worlding - So then what is the world? In short it is that 'extended phenotype' of kith and kin we live in. The world is the home of all our homes.
  3. Posts on morality/ethics/worldingbuilding  - About a subset of outcomes (of worlding), which the 'moral' urge makes us want to organize, norm, and justify. It's worlding, i.e. of the worlding urge, but semi-conscious of its origins. We can double-down on outcomes:
  4. The… —gap.
    • Gaps of knowledge, incompleteness of systems, that type of lack and what we feel we should do about them, especially when we world. Throwing stuff into the gap can be a way we double-down on a preference or effort into dogma.
  5. Posts on the blur - an intentional suspension of judgement or separating out.
  6. Janus ratio, what's the point?
    • An attempt to use an old god to do better than throwing stuff into the… —gap. Living is to dance on the thresholds between us, and between us and a hard reality we cannot quite experience.
  7. Annoying posts on annoyances from philosophy or other category errors or mal-analogies

Implications

  1. Posts on the word 'thing'
  2. Narcissism & Psychopathy - People who are immune to the world think it is all about them.
