to make things function as they should

For my worlding urge arguments about why we should… the curator presenter actually says its the most important thing one can say… “to make things function as they should”.

Glossing this as a statement of power misses why statements of power would talk like this. “Make America Great Again” or “Drain the swamp” or "Eat the Rich" are equivalent statements to righting the world by those surfing resentment. That’s what happens when we do not police the narcissists on our side. Calling these efforts to world as statement of power, only as efforts to world, means we have failed to police bad actors of bad faith and less empathy. We have been colonised by their grandiosity.

For things to function as they should, then they must be boring and humdrum. Safe even.
